Turn off the CR3000 by switching off power at the switch located on the base,
and / or remove the external power connection. Loosen the two thumbscrews on
the face of the CR3000 and remove it from the base. If the CR3000 has a battery
base, carefully disconnect the internal power plug that connects the base to the
CR3000 module.
